Kazakh students once again have the opportunity to work with the U.S. corporation Amazon. The OpenSearch Service project allows them to participate in a 10-week online program, focusing on enhancing the source code of a virtual data storage system. The second stream of the training course will also take place under the signed memorandum between the Kazakh Ministry of Science and Higher Education and the U.S. corporation. Experienced Amazon engineers will provide mentoring throughout the project. Upon its completion, Kazakh students will receive recommendations and feedback from foreign mentors.
“The U.S.
corporation launched the pilot program in March this year. A total of 400
Kazakh students received mentorship and made their contribution to the
OpenSearch project. The majority of those who successfully completed the
program received job offers from Amazon. The high quality of technical
education among Kazakh students encouraged Amazon to offer the program for
American students as well. Thus, our students have become pioneers in this
project,” said Ulan Nessipkaliyev, spokesperson for the Kazakh Ministry of
Labor and Social Protection of the Population.
