Cyclist sets record of Kazakhstan in first winter 150 kilometers bike ride

150 kilometers in 9 hours and 56 minutes. Such a record of Kazakhstan was set by a resident of Nur-Sultan Yernat Kashkynov. Thus, he entered the KINES book of records. The solo cycling marathon was dedicated to the 150th anniversary of the state and public figure Akhmet Baitursynov. According to the athlete, he started preparing for the cycling marathon four years ago.

“I realized that the winter marathon cannot be compared with the summer one. Because the bike's wheels sink into the snow, it's hard to pedal. It was easy to ride only the first 15 kilometers, and in the summer it is possible to tide as many as 30,” said Yernat Kashkynov, an amateur cyclist.
