Resort areas utilizing effective green technologies may appear in Kazakhstan’s Akmola region. These could include solar energy, air thermal zone tools, bio-treatment facilities, and autonomous water sources. These proposals were presented in the Senate during an extended meeting of the Public Project Office on tourism development issues. Participants discussed new approaches to transforming the tourism industry, which will facilitate more effective industry development and attract additional investment. Special attention was given to the accessibility of resort areas, particularly the state of their transport and engineering infrastructure. Senate Speaker Maulen Ashimbayev noted that in order to support renewable energy projects in tourism, it is necessary to develop and implement the necessary legislative amendments. Ashimbayev also emphasized that studying international experience in applying advanced practices and technologies in the industry is of particular importance.
«As part of the Project Office, a number of proposals have been developed regarding the use of new tools and approaches, particularly for the development of infrastructure to support Kazakhstan’s tourism industry. In this regard, the Project Office is working on a very interesting proposal. It involves developing alternative energy sources in protected areas, while at the same time implementing infrastructure solutions based on the principle of investment in exchange for tax incentives,» Ashimbayev said.
