President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev held a meeting with the Secretary-General of
the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) Zurab Pololikashvili. The
distinguished guest commended the level of organization of the World Nomad
Games in Astana, noting that such events open up broad opportunities for the
development of tourism and the country’s economy as a whole. The Head of State
reaffirmed the country’s commitment to close cooperation with the UNWTO and the
implementation of joint tourism initiatives. The meeting addressed promising
directions for expanding the partnership between the parties, focusing on
practical measures to enhance Kazakhstan’s tourism appeal and strengthen its
position on the international stage.
