Kazakh
schoolchildren became three-time world champions in robotics. At the world’s
largest Olympics-style robotics competition, the FIRST Global Challenge, held
in Greece, the Kazakh team achieved victory among participants from 190
countries. In addition to the gold medal and a record number of points in the
games, the national team also earned two silver medals for outstanding
engineering projects. Notably, the championship title was previously won in
Geneva and then in Singapore.
«We are very pleased to have once again broken
the competition record and won the gold medal for our country. No other nation
can boast a two-time championship title, while we have secured victory for the
third consecutive year by a significant margin. It is worth noting that the
team composition varies each year, with different children selected during the
national stages to represent the country,» said Assylbek Murzakhmetov, coach of
Kazakhstan’s national robotics team.
