Kazakh residents take part in world’s largest arts festival in Scotland

Kazakh music was presented in Scotland. EEGERU contemporary music ensemble from Kazakhstan participated in the world’s greatest celebrations of arts and culture, Edinburgh Festival Fringe. The concert program featured works by Kazakh composers, including Kuat Shildebayev and Artyk Toksanbai as well as foreign ones, including a new composition by Clare Johnston, written especially for the ensemble and dedicated to Almaty. It bears noting that the event traditionally brings together nearly two million people. The festival takes place over three weeks in August at various locations in Edinburgh.
