Kazakh rescuers set off to Afghanistan

Kazakh rescuers flew to Afghanistan. They will assist in the rescue efforts in the Herat province. Following the instructions of Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, the country’s Emergencies Ministry formed a unit of 45 people. Rescuers, canine handlers, medical workers and paramedics from the Disaster Medicine Center will conduct search operations and rescue people from the rubble. All necessary equipment is provided. The team specialists have experience in the elimination of natural disasters, particularly in Turkey this year. It is noteworthy that a 6.3 magnitude earthquake was recorded in the Afghan province of Herat on October 7.
