President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev,
who is also the Supreme Commander-in-Chief of Kazakhstan’s Armed Forces,
received Defense Minister Ruslan Zhaksylykov. The Head of State was briefed on
the ministry’s activities for the first half of 2024, including the outcomes of
international exercises, the introduction of new approaches to combat training,
and the implementation of instructions to maintain combat and mobilization
readiness. Special emphasis during the meeting was placed on the issues of
equipping the Armed Forces with modern weapons and military equipment,
developing military infrastructure, and enhancing military-patriotic work. The
Supreme Commander-in-Chief set several tasks aimed at further developing the
potential of the country’s Armed Forces.
