A job fair was held in
Turkistan, where students were shown innovative technologies developed in the
region. Organizers aimed to engage the younger generation and those still
undecided about their career paths. The event highlighted in-demand jobs, with
30 largest companies of the region offering over 2,000 vacancies. Colleges also
discussed how they are adapting to market needs, announcing 11 new vocational
courses, including agrochemistry, information security, elevator systems and
escalator production, cotton processing, and air drone operation. Notably, one
of the vocational schools in Turkistan has developed its own drone, with young
engineers working on its design and software.
«We are building
drones from scratch: designing and programming them. In the future, this will
provide significant support to engineers. Today, drones are in high demand
worldwide, so our college has decided to focus on this field,» said programmer
Gairat Ostanov.
Today, more than
45,000 students are enrolled in 50 colleges in the region, with 16,000 of them
pursuing vocational specialties. At the beginning of the year, a regional employment
map was approved, which aims to employ 130,000 people in the Turkistan region,
including 75,000 in skilled trades.
