There has been a revolution in the art world in recent decades: women are increasingly asserting themselves and their rights. The industry is gradually giving up. The works of female artists are increasingly being purchased and exhibited in museums around the world. The role of women in art takes on a special place. Kazakh and Moldovan artists tried to reflect this in their works. An exhibition with the self-explanatory name “She” takes place in Kazakhstan’s capital. The exposition presents paintings and graphic works, as well as photographs of women who have devoted their lives to art. The exhibition will run until mid-August.
“This is the exhibition of women in art. That is, a woman in art acts in different guises. Sometimes she is a model, sometimes she is an art creator. The exhibition is slightly international and diverse, and is about how different, how strong, weak, fragile a woman can be. Overall, the exhibition is about the power and mystery of women. That’s the question all philosophers have been trying to solve for thousands of years,” said Leyla Mahat, Exhibition Curator.
