Kazakh President receives Chinese Defense Minister

Kazakh-Chinese relations are at the highest level of permanent comprehensive strategic partnership. President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev underscored this during his meeting with Chinese Defense Minister Dong Jun, who is currently on an official visit to Kazakhstan. The Head of State also emphasized the mutual alignment of Kazakhstan and China on key regional and international security issues within the multilateral framework. The two countries maintain a dialogue and extend mutual support within the UN, SCO, and CICA. For his part, Dong Jun noted the high level of preparation for the meeting of the defense ministers of the SCO member states. During the meeting, the parties expressed their interest in fostering peacekeeping, educational, and military-technical cooperation.
