A total of 158 measures to support and protect
children have been developed under the Children of Kazakhstan Concept adopted
this year. This was reported to Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev by
Commissioner for Children’s Rights Dinara Zakiyeva. She said that measures to
safeguard children’s rights in healthcare, education, social protection and
safety had been systematised. Based on the analysis, a five-year action plan
has been developed. The President was informed about the establishment of dedicated
regional departments, the creation of psychological support centres and the
introduction of a unified programme for assessing psychological well-being. In
addition, the QR-111 service has been introduced in schools to enable direct
communication with children. Particular attention was also paid to the
development of infrastructure for children, including in rural areas.
