Kazakh President holds series of meetings at One Water Summit

Traditionally, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev holds important meetings on the sidelines of major international events. At the One Water Summit in Riyadh, President Tokayev met with the President of the World Bank Group. The Head of State highlighted the significance of this strategic partnership. To date, the parties are jointly implementing five projects worth $3.5 billion. President Tokayev also welcomed the World Bank’s financing of a $650 million project under the Transport Resilience and Connectivity Enhancement (TRACE) program.

The Kazakh President also discussed cooperation with the Crown Prince of Saudi Arabia. Kassym-Jomart Tokayev and Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud noted that over 30 years of fruitful diplomatic relations, political dialogue and business ties have been established between the two countries. The meeting addressed cooperation in energy, oil and gas, transport and logistics. 

In a conversation with Emmanuel Macron, the Kazakh President emphasized that concrete results have already been achieved in implementing a number of agreements reached during the recent state visit to France. In turn, the French President once again emphasized the dynamic development of bilateral relations.
