Kazakhstan welcomes the completion of negotiations on the
text of the draft Agreement on Peace and the Establishment of Interstate
Relations between Yerevan and Baku. This will not only pave the way for lasting
peace between Armenia and Azerbaijan but also enhance security and foster
regional cooperation with Kazakhstan and Central Asia. President Kassym-Jomart
Tokayev discussed this during a meeting with Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat
Mirzoyan. The two sides also reviewed prospects for expanding bilateral ties in
trade and economy, transportation and logistics, as well as cultural and
humanitarian cooperation. President Tokayev stated that Kazakh businesses are
ready to increase exports to Armenia by $350 million.
