Crime rates in Kazakhstan are on the decline. Since the beginning of the year, their number has decreased by 9%, Interior Minister Yerzhan Sadenov reported to President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev. According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, a decline has been recorded across nearly all main types of offenses. Particular attention is being paid to preventive measures and ensuring public safety in the country. Sadenov also briefed the Head of State on efforts to combat cybercrime and drug-related crime, extremism, as well as measures aimed at strengthening international cooperation in the field of security. Following the meeting, President Tokayev issued a number of instructions.
