Kazakh President discusses nuclear energy cooperation with CNNC General Director

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev discussed prospects for cooperation in nuclear energy with Shen Yanfeng, the head of the China National Nuclear Corporation (CNNC). The Head of State informed Shen Yanfeng about Kazakhstan’s plans for industry development, considering the establishment of a Nuclear Energy Agency in the country. He also noted that Kazakhstan is interested in the Chinese corporation’s extensive experience. The parties discussed advanced technologies for the peaceful use of nuclear energy and the training of Kazakh specialists.
