Kazakh Parliament adopts 2022-2024 National Budget

The Parliament of Kazakhstan adopted the national budget for the next three years. The bill has been sent to the Head of State for signature. Through the reallocation of the Government’s reserve, expenditures of the national budget were increased by 86 billion tenge (US$199 million). It is planned to allocate three times more funds to the social sector. In total, 26.7 trillion tenge will be spent on this industry in the next three years. It was announced today at the meeting of the Mazhilis. This will resolve many issues, MPs say. These are mainly the indexation of social benefits, as well as salary increases for teachers, doctors and other categories of state employees. The construction of social facilities is also planned. In addition, it was reported at the meeting that according to the forecast for socio-economic development, an increase in oil production is expected, which in turn would affect the GDP growth. In 2022, it will increase by almost four percent.
