President Kassym-Jomart
Tokayev held a telephone
conversation with Kyrgyz President Sadyr Japarov. The leaders of the two fraternal countries expressed
satisfaction with the high level of cooperation in trade and economic,
transport and logistics, and water and energy sectors. The Head of State emphasized that
Kazakh-Kyrgyz relations are gaining positive momentum thanks to regular
political dialogue and active interaction between governments and business
communities. The Kazakh President
also informed the Kyrgyz leader about the constitutional reform underway in the
country. Sadyr Japarov expressed support for the large-scale transformations in
Kazakhstan. The interlocutors expressed a unified position on all issues of
regional cooperation.
