Kazakh inventor builds manned quadcopter

Shymkent resident Philipp Gerassimov has built a quadcopter - a single-seat remotely controlled aircraft capable of lifting up to 120 kilograms. He spent more than three years working on this ‘flying machine of the future’. According to the inventor, there are currently no analogues of this model in Central Asia. He plans to fully modernize and refine its design. Gerassimov dreams of developing the project to a level where it can bring real benefits to the country. He believes that his homemade copter could significantly improve daily life, serving as an alternative to conventional taxis and as a valuable tool for emergency services.

«I plan to present it as a business idea that can be applied in various fields, for example, in firefighting, rescue operations, or for rapid medical transport. At the moment, the frame is designed to hold a person, but it can actually be customized for any purpose. This will not affect its controllability or the replacement of components. All the parts can easily be transferred to a different frame if needed,» Gerassimov said.

The inventor believes that the homemade copter has brought him closer to his dream. In the future, Gerassimov hopes to design Mars and lunar rovers.
