Kazakhstan is
developing a large-scale digital ecosystem in the social and labor sectors. The
plan includes introducing artificial intelligence (AI) to automate job matching
and the selection of educational courses for citizens. For instance, the Mansap
Kompasy platform helps young people choose a career path, while the online
service Skills Enbek offers retraining and new skill acquisition. In addition,
digital family and enterprise maps enable more precise analysis of workforce
needs and employment conditions. The transformation of the labor market and the
integration of innovative solutions were discussed at a government meeting.
According to Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov, special attention must be given to
investor accountability and the quality of jobs. He also instructed that data
be integrated into state infrastructure and KPIs introduced to assess
effectiveness.
«Large-scale logistics and energy projects are
currently being launched across the country. Digital solutions are also being
actively implemented in various sectors. Together, these comprehensive measures
will contribute to the creation of new, high-quality jobs. To ensure effective
monitoring of job creation, an Innovative Project Navigator has been developed.
This information system tracks the number of new jobs, their alignment with
labor market demands, and employers’ fulfillment of employment plans,» noted Kazakh
Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.
With a focus on
digital solutions, new jobs are actively being created in Kazakhstan’s fuel and
energy sector. More than 200 investment projects are planned to be implemented
in the industry by 2029. To support workforce development, the Kazakh Ministry of
Energy has initiated the establishment of sectoral councils for professional
qualifications in the energy and oil and gas sectors. These councils are
responsible for developing and updating professional standards, taking into
account the growing importance of digital skills.
«In 2025, it is
planned to update 17 occupational standards in the oil and gas sector and 27 in
the energy sector, along with the development of four new standards. As of today, all 17 occupational standards in the oil and gas sector
are under review at the Center for the Development of Human Resources for
approval. In the energy sector, 23 occupational standards have already received
a positive assessment, while eight are currently undergoing expert review at
the Center,» said Kazakh Vice Minister of Energy Kudaibergen Arymbek.
