A major project for green hydrogen production using solar
and wind energy will be launched in Kazakhstan. This field will be studied in
depth at the master’s and doctoral levels at the Kazakh-German Institute for
Sustainable Engineering (KINI) in Aktau. Educational programs in energy and
logistics are set to be developed and introduced within the next two years. To
support this initiative, researchers from German universities have arrived in
Kazakhstan. Over the course of a week, they will discuss best practices and
their application in training specialists with local experts.
«Our primary goal is to develop master's and doctoral
programs focused on sustainable energy development and environmental
protection. We will also discuss a megaproject on maritime infrastructure
research and operations management. Together with your scientists, we will
address issues related to improving the environmental situation in the Caspian
region. This collaboration will facilitate the implementation of scientific
projects that help enhance academic potential between our countries,» said
Hans-Liudger Dienel, professor at the Technical University of Berlin.
