“The woman, who became a legend”. A traveling exhibition was opened in Nur-Sultan in honor of the 100th birth anniversary of People’s Hero of Kazakhstan Khiuaz Dospanova. According to the organizers, the exposition aims at telling the younger generation about the interesting and amazing life of a pilot and navigator.
“The exhibition is dedicated to the ‘Winged Woman’. This is what people called Khiuaz Dospanova. Here, visitors will learn interesting facts about other women, who showed heroism in the fight against the Nazi invaders. The exposition hall will also display information about Aliya Moldagulova and Manshuk Mametova. In total, about 90 exhibits are collected here. The exposition will show the heroes’ rare school and military photographs. There are also samples of military uniforms, military equipment, radios and telephones used on the front line,” said Dinara Bissembayeva, Acting Director of the Museum of Local History of Atyrau region.
The exhibition will last for five days in the Kazakh capital, then it will travel to Almaty, Aktobe and Oral.
