Kazakh artist
Assemgul Suleimenova was recognized as the best in an international competition
held in the UK. Her artwork entitled ‘Ana men Bala’ secured victory in the
painting category of the Golden Time Talent competition. Her painting received
high praise from accomplished professionals from different parts of the world.
“Honestly, I really
didn't anticipate winning any place. When I looked for information about this
particular contest, I learned that many contestants from different countries
were participating. My initial thought was just to mention that I took part in
this international competition, which is held in London. I didn't expect to get
any prizes at all. It came as a surprise to me,” Suleimenova shared.
According to her,
this painting holds a special energy and is close to her heart.
“The painting
portrays my mother-in-law and my husband at the age of three. In 1995, they
starred in the film entitled ‘Zhambyl's Youth’, where my mother-in-law played
the role of the wife of Zhambyl's older brother. I wanted to capture on canvas
a distinctive film moment that I liked. It illustrates everyday life and a
child gazing at his mother. People have noticed that she has a very soulful
expression in her eyes, creating a cozy atmosphere,” Suleimenova added.
