Kazakh Energy Ministry prepares fuel reserves for flood relief

The Kazakh Energy Ministry announced data on fuel reserves aimed at addressing the aftermath of the country’s floods. The volumes of fuel and lubricants meet one and a half months’ worth of needs and are uninterruptedly replenished by the Atyrau and Pavlodar refineries. Priority in fuel allocation is given to units of the Ministry of Defense, the National Guard, the Ministry of Emergency Situations, as well as regional and city administrations involved in eliminating the emergency situation. For this purpose, over a hundred fuel tankers were deployed to 20 regions of the country. If necessary, their number will be increased, according to the relevant department. Regional fuel reserves have been stockpiled, comprising gasoline grades AI-80, 92, 95 totaling around 3,500 tons, alongside over 7,000 tons of diesel fuel, as well as aviation fuel and fuel oil. Large subsoil user companies participate in flood control efforts, contributing over 500 units of specialized equipment, with their personnel involved in addressing the flood aftermath.
