700 billion tenge will be allocated for spring field and
harvesting works in 2025. The Agrarian Credit Corporation will allocate 100
billion tenge at the end of November. A total of 500 farmers have applied for
preferential loans. Additionally, a preferential leasing program at an interest
rate of five percent has been launched in the country to renew agricultural
machinery, with a budget of 200 billion tenge for next year. The fleet of
domestically produced agricultural machinery is expected to increase by an
average of 30-50 percent. The needs of farmers for domestic seed stock are also
taken into account.
«The Head of State has instructed that by 2028, the volume
of domestic seed stock be increased to 80 percent, with elite seeds comprising
at least 15 percent. We have the necessary potential. Scientific institutes are
already developing seed varieties that significantly boost yields. We will
continue to advance agricultural science with the implementation of the best
global practices,» said Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov.
According to Bektenov, over 700 projects worth around 2.3
trillion tenge are set to be implemented in the country’s agricultural sector
by 2027. This will increase the share of processed products to 70 percent.
