An Almaty resident has developed an innovative air
purification technology that has already attracted the attention of foreign
scientists. Kazakh developer Altay Ainabek notes that warm atmospheric masses,
known as an inversion layer, hover over Almaty, trapping smog in the city. The
device is designed to combat this layer and generate a powerful horizontal
airflow that pushes harmful substances upward. The inventor has installed and
tested five such stations across the city. However, at least three years of
research will be needed to demonstrate the technology's effectiveness.
«We connect the installations and immediately observe a
reduction in pollutants within an hour. During this time, all levels were at
the lower end of the maximum allowable concentration (MAC) scale,» Ainabek
said.
