A Kazakh delegation, consisting of
representatives of analytical centers and media structures, led by State
Counselor Erlan Karin participated in a series of events and meetings in
Beijing. Karin held discussions with Wang Huning, the Chairman of the National
Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference, and Li
Shulei, the head of the Publicity Department of the Central Committee of the
Chinese Communist Party, covering socio-economic, as well as cultural and humanitarian
cooperation. They touched upon reforms and planned joint events for the second
Central Asia-China Summit. Karin also met with the President of the Chinese
Academy of Social Sciences and delivered a lecture at Renmin University of
China. He later spoke at the first Forum of Analytical Centers between the two
countries. Meanwhile, Kazakh media representatives explored collaboration
opportunities during their visit to China Media Group, the nation’s largest
media corporation.
