Today President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev
received Kazakh Minister of Tourism and Sports Yerbol Myrzabossynov, who reported
on reforms in the domestic sports industry. Myrzabossynov elaborated on
developing children’s and youth sports, enhancing judge qualifications,
reducing the reliance on foreign athletes, and updating sports infrastructure.
He informed that Kazakhstan has started to work on the introduction of a vertical
management system for sports, with amendments to the law on physical culture
and sports underway. As for tourism, the Neo Nomad Visa project has been
launched to boost the country’s appeal. A comprehensive plan is in progress to
develop the Almaty mountain cluster and beach tourism in Mangystau and Burabai.
Tokayev instructed the minister to continue improving the sector.
