President Tokayev instructs government to boost Kazakhstan’s IT services exports to $1 billion by 2026

In the state-of-the-nation address, Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev emphasized the need to develop the IT industry for Kazakhstan to keep up with the times. The country is now among the world leaders in the E-Government Development Index (EGDI) and Global Fintech Index rankings. The volume of exports of the domestic IT industry grew fivefold last year alone. This figure may reach $500 million by the end of 2023, and even more. The new objective of the Kazakh government is to increase the export of IT services to $1 billion by 2026. This will be facilitated by creating joint ventures with major foreign IT companies, according to the Head of State.
