Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart
Tokayev extended his congratulations to Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev on
the election of Azerbaijan as the host country for the 29th Conference of the
Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) in 2024. The
Head of State highlighted that this decision underscores the country's high
authority on the international stage, recognizing Azerbaijan’s effective and
progressive policy and its commitment to the high goals of the global climate
agenda. President Tokayev assured his counterpart that Kazakhstan is ready to
provide comprehensive assistance and take the most active part for the
successful and effective holding of the UN Climate Summit.
