Kazakh Tazy dog breed awarded highest titles of world dog show 2023

The two Kazakh Tazy dogs from the International Canine Federation (Fédération Cynologique Internationale – FCI) non-recognized breeds group were awarded the highest titles of the World Dog Show 2023. The dog named Tumar was awarded the Best of Breed and Geneva World Cup Champion 2023, while Vangeliya was recognized as the Best of Opposite Sex and Geneva World Cup Veteran Champion 2023. According to Yelena Hardina, the head of the Tazy dog breed national club, her team has been striving to win such major competition since 2006. Overall, the main canine event of the year featured 20,000 dogs from around the world. Representatives of 200 dog breeds were evaluated by 150 international judges. It should be noted that the Kazakh Union of Cynologists became the FCI full member during the FCI General Assembly. The accession allows the Kazakh Tazy and Tobet dog breeds to participate in any international competitions.
