France intends to expand cooperation with Kazakhstan, its
key partner in Central Asia. This includes sectors such as transport, industry,
energy, and agriculture. There is also strong interest in the field of subsoil
use. French companies are ready to invest in the extraction and processing of
critical minerals. French business circles identified points of convergence
with domestic companies during a business forum held the previous day. There
are also high expectations for the Astana International Forum. Thanks to this reputable
platform, entrepreneurs have the opportunity to access the markets of Central
Asian countries. This was stated in an exclusive interview by Laurent
Saint-Martin, France’s Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade and French Nationals
Abroad.
«We have to cooperate more about, for example, rare earth or
other critical raw materials. You have noticed that the world from the trade
perspective has changed now. As it has changed, we have to adopt also this and
it is a role of the European Union to seek and to look for what to create and
make new business and trade mechanisms with other part of the world and Central
Asia is one of them, and it is one of our priorities,» noted Laurent
Saint-Martin, France’s Minister Delegate for Foreign Trade.
