Startups from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan presented at TechCrunch Disrupt 2024

24 innovative startups from Central Eurasia were showcased at the international technology conference TechCrunch Disrupt 2024. More than half, or 16 of the projects, are led by developers from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan. This year, they joined forces and presented their projects to investors in Silicon Valley under the unified brand, Central Asian Innovation Hubs. The startups span various fields, including artificial intelligence, data analytics, HR, FinTech, and EdTech.

«We are Silkroad Innovation Hub, and this is our second year partnering with TechCrunch,» said founder Asset Abdualiyev. «This year, our participation is particularly significant, as our pavilion is the largest. Startups are already securing their first investors and clients.»

Additionally, there is international recognition. For example, one of the projects by young developers from the region, PointAI, became the most popular startup of the day on the Product Hunt platform.

«Product Hunt is a platform where top startups and companies showcase innovations in their projects or products. We had an average of 25 visits per hour and received many leads. We are founders from Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan, and our team is currently located in Central Asia,» said Benazir Toleubekova, founder of the startup PointAI.

Notably, the event, held in Silicon Valley, also offers over 10,000 participants this year the opportunity to gain experience, meet new people, and explore new markets.

«TechCrunch is a global event with vast opportunities where we can connect with investors and potential clients in this market. We decided to participate in the competition, and the hub selected us as one of the participants, with our primary focus being the American market. We will also continue operations in Kazakhstan, where we have demand and clients. We plan to open an office and operate here in the U.S., and we hope to attract local investors,» said Tatyana Plotnikova, founder of the startup pwron.ai.
