Since the beginning of the year, about 645 billion tenge
in investments have been attracted to the Karagandy region. Industrial production over the first eight months exceeded three trillion tenge. Governor Yermaganbet Bulekpayev reported to
President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on the region’s socio-economic and infrastructure development. This year, 29
investment projects are being implemented, with production growth observed in metallurgy, mechanical engineering, agriculture, as well as in the light
and food industries. In addition, modernization is underway at Qarmet
enterprises - the company has
invested 110 billion tenge for these purposes since the beginning
of the year.
