Advanced irrigation systems manufacturing plant will be opened in Kazakhstan. A U.S. company will invest in the enterprise, the capacity of which will amount to a thousand of agricultural machines per year. As experts noted, the advanced irrigation technology will increase the productivity of crop raising by 50 to 70 percent and reduce water consumption.
Kazakh Prime Minister Askar Mamin noted that sustainable growth in agriculture totaled 5.6 percent at the end of 2020. This is the highest figure in the industry over the last six years. Askar Mamin stressed that the agro-industrial complex became a key factor in controlling inflation in Kazakhstan amid ongoing disruptions in global food supply chain.
According to the UN Food and Agriculture Organization, Kazakhstan enters top five countries with the greatest potential in the agricultural sector.
