Assel Zhanassova,
the Chief Executive Officer of Kazakhstan’s national postal operator, informed
Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev about the creation of a unified
ecosystem for e-commerce market entities in the country. To this end, the
company is developing fulfillment centers, working on opening order pickup
points for popular domestic and foreign marketplaces, and expanding the network
of warehouses and automated parcel terminals. Additionally, there are plans to
open new branches in the country’s most remote areas, as well as to build
logistics hubs in the city of Aktobe and the Turkistan and Almaty regions. One
of them is set to open in Astana this week. Following the meeting, the Head of
State instructed to continue work on the financial recovery of the company and
expanding the range of social and public services available for rural areas.
