Alatau City plans to implement 53 investment projects worth more than 2 trillion tenge. The projects are expected to create over 50,000 jobs. These and other initiatives were discussed at a meeting of the Alatau City Council chaired by Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov. One of the key projects is the development of a 330-hectare pilot district featuring South Korean smart city technologies. Alatau City also plans to introduce a digital twin and leverage Big Data and artificial intelligence to manage urban infrastructure in real time. By the end of this year, the city’s Long-Term Development Plan, Development Strategy, and Master Plan are expected to be finalized with the support of leading international consulting firms. In addition, by the end of next year, Alatau City expects to launch its first tokenization projects and establish a unified ecosystem integrating the virtual and real economies. Following the meeting, the Regulation on the Alatau City Authority was approved. The organization was granted the status of a state body and will be responsible for the development and operation of Alatau City.
«We are beginning our work
as a state body with the authority to accelerate the development of Alatau
City. By the end of the year, a core regulatory framework will be put in place,
providing a solid foundation for the city's independent ecosystem. It will
cover entrepreneurship, construction, the licensing of legal entities, as well
as tax and customs regimes. Together, these measures will create a clear and
transparent environment for investors and businesses. By the end of the year,
following the President's instructions, the city's key strategic documents—including a Long-Term Development Plan, a Development
Strategy, and a Master Plan—will also be developed and adopted,» said Alisher Abdykadyrov, Chief Executive
Officer of
Alatau City Authority.
