Investment in Astana’s economy exceeds 632 billion tenge

President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Mayor of Astana Zhenis Kassymbek, who reported on the socio-economic and infrastructural development of the capital over the past six months. More than 632 billion tenge were attracted in the first half of the year, which is 13 percent more compared to last year.  Positive dynamics is observed across all key economic indicators. Projects in manufacturing, medicine, education, transportation and logistics are being actively implemented. The Head of State was also briefed on the construction of schools, medical centers, and residential areas. He set a number of tasks for further developing the capital and preparing for the fifth World Nomad Games.

«I also informed the President about preparations for the heating season. Last year, we additionally commissioned three facilities, including Thermal Power Station-3 and two state technical services. These additions generated over 1,000 gigacalories, providing a reserve for several years. And this work continues. We also reported on preparations for the new school year. According to plans, more than 20 new schools will be commissioned, with over 60 educational institutions expected to start operating within three years,» Kassymbek said.
