The grain harvest has been successfully completed in
Turkmenistan. Farmers across the country collected around 1.5 million tonnes of
wheat - enough to meet domestic demand. This strong yield was made possible by
favourable conditions at every stage, including the development of new
high-yield crop varieties. As a result of selective breeding efforts, new wheat
varieties such as Serdar, Arkadag, and Pyragy were developed in the country.
Another contributing factor was the more than twofold increase in the state
procurement price for farmers, which helped stimulate agricultural output and
strengthen national food security. In addition, modern grain reception centers,
storage elevators, and milling complexes have been launched across various
regions. In total, nearly 700,000 hectares were harvested nationwide.
«We were provided with everything we needed - from sowing to
harvesting - including advanced agricultural equipment. Thanks to this, we were
able to complete the harvest in the shortest possible time and with minimal
losses. The machines were high-performance and reliable. Most importantly, they
were continuously supported by mobile teams - fuel, spare parts, and repairs
were available on-site, without delays,» said farm manager Otar Kurbanbayev.
«This year was a demanding one for our farm, but also very
rewarding. The team has been working hard since the fall. And when you see
loaded grain trucks rolling out one after another, carrying the results of your
labor, you feel a deep sense of satisfaction,» said farm specialist Gadamjan Amashayev.
