An international AI
center, Alem.AI, will soon begin operations in Astana. Its official opening is
scheduled for October as part of the Digital Bridge forum. The announcement was
made during a government meeting focused on implementing the President’s

Minister Olzhas Bektenov instructed
officials to accelerate the preparation of the Digital Code and the Law on
Artificial Intelligence, begin developing the Digital Qazaqstan concept, and
submit a draft presidential decree on the reorganization and creation of the
Ministry of Artificial Intelligence and Digital Development.
«As the President noted,
the digital approach in the state system will significantly enhance transparency,
efficiency, and human-centeredness. Comprehensive digitalization, together with
diversification, will modernize the entire economy and strengthen Kazakhstan’s
competitiveness on the global stage. The government is focused on promptly
implementing the initiatives outlined in the President’s Address,» Bektenov
said.
