A new season of the popular travel show Pékin Express has aired on the French TV channel M6, entirely dedicated to Kazakhstan. Titled La Route des Glaces, it introduces viewers to Kazakhstan’s rich culture, traditions, and unique natural landscapes. Participants travel and compete with each other in communication skills and resourcefulness, sample Kazakh delicacies, sing traditional songs, and take part in various sports. At night, they stay as guests with local residents, experiencing Kazakh hospitality firsthand. During filming, the crew visited Astana, Almaty, Shymkent, Burabai, and other popular tourist destinations. According to the organizers, this experience fosters intercultural dialogue and makes the show not only entertaining but also educational.

Notably, Pékin Express is one of the most popular French TV shows, shaping viewers’ travel preferences. The winter season is expected to attract significant audience interest, with up to seven million viewers in France, Belgium, Monaco, and Switzerland. The Ministry of Tourism and Sports is confident that, following the program’s broadcast, tourist arrivals to Kazakhstan will increase by at least 15%.
