Today, Kazakh President
Kassym-Jomart Tokayev received Minister of Culture and Information Aida
Balayeva. During the meeting, the Head of State tasked the ministry with
promoting Kazakh culture abroad, focusing efforts on developing the
infrastructure of cultural and historical sites, supporting creativity, providing
institutional support, and accelerating the advancement of creative industries.
“During the meeting with the Head
of State, I provided an overview of the Culture and Information Ministry’s work,
and promising approaches to its further activities. I also briefed on the
measures taken in the fields of information, culture, creative industries,
civil society, religion, interethnic relations, youth, as well as family and
demographic policy. I outlined the ministry’s plans for the development of the
supervised spheres, including organizational and legislative efforts. In the
near future, the ministry will commence the implementation of several specific
instructions given by the President,” Balayeva said.
