Experts, diplomatic representatives highly appreciate principles of Kazakhstan’s new economic course

Such principles of the new economic course outlinedby Kazakh President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev in his state of the nation address as changing the strategy for attracting investors, creating a constructive dialogue between businesses and authorities, strengthening the relationship among monetary, budgetary and tax policies, and others are well-considered, effective and aimed at improving the country’s welfare. According to experts from the Economic Research Institute (ERI)Kazakh citizens will soon be fully able to see the outcome of these transformations.

Most of the questions concern the economy despite the fact that political reforms are important for any society and state. However, priority now must be given to economic issues, as noted by President Tokayev. I believe that the vast majority of society will properly accept the foundations and main directions of the new economic policy announced bythe Head of State. The main thing is that the mentioned issuesdirections and measures would be implemented within these three years because Kazakh citizens are expecting tangible outcomes,” said Gabit Matayev, chief researcher at the Economic Research Institute.

The new model of Kazakhstan’s economic development in the next three years will be based on the creation of the most favorable conditions for entrepreneurs and investors. According to foreign diplomatic representatives, such a decision of the Head of State will certainly be beneficial, including within the development of the country’s international cooperation.

As representatives of Italy, we are one of the top investors of Kazakhstan, so the business climate is particularly important for us, and I reiterate that it was particularly important listening to the President saying that the business climate is a result of a dialogue between public and private sectors. It’s a long way to improve the business climate. But I think that the road is clear and we have to work together, thus we are here with our companies and government to work together on this dialogueconcept to improve the business climate,” noted Marco Alberti, Italian Ambassador to Kazakhstan.
