An exhibition by artist Dariya Kalimova-Kasteeva has opened at the National Museum in Nur-Sultan. The event is dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the country’s independence. The exposition is a kind of presentation of the young master’s creative works. There are mainly exhibits of decorative and applied art, namely tapestries.
“I paint with oil on canvas. There are such small works. These are preparatory work for future tapestries. Tapestry is woven for a long time, for months, but I really like it,” said Dariya Kalimova-Kasteyeva, artist.
The exhibition also presents the works by Dariya’s father, famous Kazakh painter Mukhit Kalimov. His portraits are a refined skill, the use of characteristic nuances, the choice of soft, pastel colors to create real works of art. The exhibition is open until the end of September.
