Exhibition of artists from Atyrau region opens in National Museum of Kazakhstan

A traveling exhibition has opened at the National Museum of Kazakhstan. The exposition displays masterpieces from the reserves of the Shaimardan Sariyev Museum of Fine and Decorative-Applied Arts in Atyrau region. The organizers selected the best works of art masters known in the country. Overall, visitors will be able to get acquainted with more than 70 paintings. There are also works by authors unknown to the general audience, and on a variety of topics. The priority was given to the artists who covered the theme of patriotism, history, and lifestyle in the countryside to inspire representatives of the younger generation. The exhibition is available to visitors for free until the end of August.

“Isatay and Makhambet are heroes of the national liberation uprising of 1836-38, our batyrs. They are well portrayed in the work “Isatay, Makhambet” by Tabyldy Mukat. In addition, several works by Zholaman Aralbayev on the theme “Menin auylym” (My village) perfectly reflected the life of the Kazakh aul. It also contains works by such artists as Mukhit Kalimov, Abdrashit Sydykhanov, Zhanatai Shardenov, Sabyr Mambeyev, Sakhi Romanov, who have become classics of Kazakh painting,” said Tolegen Orynbasaruly, Director of the Atyrau Regional Museum of Fine and Decorative-Applied Arts.
