Personal belongings of prominent Kazakh political and public figures were showcased at a special exhibition at the Presidential Center in the capital. The exposition is dedicated to the anniversaries of such outstanding historical figures as Mukhamedzhan Tynyshpayev, Mustafa Shokai, Saken Seifullin, and Turar Ryskulov. It features a total of about 170 unique items, collected from various museums and archives across the country. These are rare photographs, books, documents, worn manuscripts, and other valuable items. The central exhibits include the seals and an antique portable typewriter of Mustafa Shokai, as well as the chest of Turar Ryskulov’s spouse, Aziza Tubekovna. It is known that the latter had been kept for a long time in the family of the renowned figure and was handed over to the fund of one of the museums by his granddaughter. All the materials provide a unique insight into the lives and contributions of these figures to the development of Kazakhstan’s statehood and underscore the importance of their legacy. The exhibition will be open to the public until the end of the year.
«She always traveled with it from Almaty to Moscow, when she got married, and later to the ALZHIR camp. She took it with her everywhere. The entire family was repressed, including his wife, Aziza Tubekovna, her mother, and my mother were sent to ALZHIR, the Akmola camp of wives of traitors of the Motherland, in 1938. I believe that these events are highly significant, not only on the anniversaries of such prominent public and political figures but as a constant reminder of the importance of remembering,» said Adel Ryskulova, granddaughter of Turar Ryskulov.
