Topical issues of
cooperation of the countries within the EAEU were discussed at a meeting of the
Eurasian Intergovernmental Council in Almaty. Currently, the states are
actively cooperating in the economic sphere, with the GDP of the Union expected
to reach around four percent by the end of 2024. Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov
noted that international dialogue at the Eurasian Intergovernmental Council holds
particular significance, and the decisions made will give a new impetus to the
development of integration processes. The parties discussed the implementation
of joint projects in the agricultural sector and the mechanisms for their
support, with a special focus on the development of breeding, seed production
of agricultural plants, livestock breeding, and product processing. Additionally,
participants exchanged views on the prospects for developing the integrated
information system of the EAEU, expressing their readiness to intensify efforts
in this direction.
