A plant for the production of environmentally friendly
aviation fuel will be built in Kazakhstan. The implementation of the project was
discussed by the country’s Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and the leadership of
the American company LanzaJet. The facility will use advanced technologies to
convert ethanol into
eco-friendly aviation fuel, including from grain, corn, and potatoes. The plant is expected to produce over
50,000 tonnes of organic aviation
fuel and up to 100,000 tonnes of bioethanol per year. To date, the feasibility study has been completed.
The project aims to promote green aviation and deepen processing in the
agro-industrial complex.
