Classics, modern hits, and, of course, traditional kuis. Just
like in ancient times, the dombyra remains highly sought after. It continues to
captivate audiences with its deep and unique sound. Musicians say this sound is
easy to produce and blends well with any music genre. The key is to choose the
right instrument, according to the head of the dombyra club. And here, quality
comes to the forefront.
«There are many ways to choose a dombyra. When selecting a
musical instrument, one should pay attention to its sound quality, clarity,
richness, and brightness. The dombyra should fully meet your expectations,» said
the head of the dombyra club Kemenger Kenzheshev.
Another way to choose an instrument is to seek advice from
an expert, or better yet, to purchase one directly from the master, as each
dombyra has its own character and soul.
«I would like children learning to play the dombyra to have
a high-quality instrument in their hands. Ideally, of course, every home should
have a dombyra,» said master craftsman of national instruments Nurzhan Dilmanov.
The dombyra is still more than just a musical instrument -
it is a sacred symbol of the people and one of the country’s main brands.
