Exports from
Kazakhstan to Georgia saw a more than one-third increase in 2024, with
transportation volume surpassing 4.7 billion tonnes. Over the past four years,
transportation between the two countries has surged ninefold, and further
growth is expected. The railway sector can activate transit flows, and thus the
economies of both countries. Kazakh Prime Minister Olzhas Bektenov and his
Georgian counterpart, Irakli Kobakhidze, visited the Kazakhstan Temir Zholy national
railway company, where they were presented with digital solutions being
implemented in the railway sector. The Georgian delegation was introduced to
the «Unified Digital Window» application and the «smart» system for railway
transport, which aim to simplify procedures, reduce cargo transportation times,
and ensure transparency in logistics.
